Description
Kodiak Arts Council's 2025-2026 Performing Arts Series Season opens with Delbert Anderson Quartet! Led by Diné (Navajo) jazz trumpeter and composer Delbert Anderson, the Delbert Anderson Quartet blends Indigenous tradition with contemporary jazz and funk to create a sound that is both deeply rooted and boldly innovative. A culture bearer and creative force in today’s jazz scene, Anderson draws inspiration from traditional Diné “spinning songs,” reimagining them through the lens of modern improvisation and rhythm.
